Mohamed Rashid
The late Libyan great artist Mohamed Rashid was born in 1946 in Tripoli. He started his artistic career as an amateur and was mentored by the late Kazim Nadim, his first work was “Leh athabni” written by Saleh bin Dardif and composed by Kazim Nadim. Throughout his artistic career he presented many popular songs, including: Ah wakhed galbi lwaah – Ya laymen fel hob – msheetee ween – Jani jawaab – zanget el ahbab – elhawa ghallab – semeh essoura and many others. He was honoured in 2002 at the second Libyan Song Festival and passed away in 2012.
