Ma’luf

The musical tradition of Ma’luf is believed to have come to North Africa from Muslim and Jewish refugees from Spain between the tenth and seventeenth centuries. This Arab Andalusian is a classical music tradition across North Africa, but the Libyan version has not received much Western scholarly attention.
