Khaled Saeed was known as the Libyan Nightingale singer. He was born in Tripoli in 1950 and started his artistic career in 1966 by joining an amateur group which was supervised by the late artist and composer Kazem Nadim.

In 1967, he released the song Tawwali Mrwaah Tawwali, with lyrics from Masoud Al Qablawi and composed by the artist Ali Maher. This song was the reason for his fame. He sang several famous poems as well, such as Habibi and W hal tathkureen.
